Welcome to Bridge Cottage

On Arrival

  1. Obtain key from keypad situated under a black plastic cover on wall on the right of the front door. Type in the four digit code and open the box. You may need a torch if arriving in dark. To replace front of box you need to type in the four digit code again. If there are any problems opening the box there is another spare key “hidden” in the complex – just give me a ring for whereabouts!

  2. Make a note of your arrival meter reading for Flat 2 in communal meter shed round the back of the apartments – power and heating switches should already be on. A wooden door with a key in the lock is the entrance to the meter shed. This is situated in the covered entrance way to another flat, round the back and to the right of the garage doors.

  3. Turn on the mains water supply to Bridge Cottage with the stop-tap lever near toilet in downstairs bathroom.

  4. All heating and hot water is controlled from the lounge thermostat near the dining table. For heating turn dial clockwise to set to required temperature. Heating should always be set to a minimum of 9 degrees.

  5. For hot water, press firmly on the leaf symbol and turn the outer dial to ‘hot water’. Press firmly and turn for time required.

On Departure

  1. Upon departure, turn heating thermostat down to 9 degrees and ensure hot water is off.

  2. Turn off water lever stop tap near toilet.

  3. Check final electric reading, leaving power and heating switches for Flat 2 on.

  4. Bridge Cottage is only used by family and friends and we do not employ a cleaning service after your stay. Please ensure cottage is left as clean as you would expect to find it on your arrival.

  5. The dustbins are round the back in the car park and there is a recycling area for glass, tins, plastic and paper half way round to the car park on the left before you cross the river.

  6. Replace key in keybox.

  7. Safe journey home!
